Dunwoody’s Interior Design program prepares you for a career in both residential and commercial design.
Using design theories, interior materials, and computer-aided drafting, you will create and present unique design plans to peers, industry professionals, and potential clients. Build your portfolio, collaborate with other departments, work on real projects with local organizations, and learn from industry experts.
Opportunities to participate in both local and national student design competitions will help you build your resume and gain recognition in the design community. Available study abroad and travel study programswill also increase your exposure to cultural and global design.
Software you will use includes a suite of creative and design software used at most Interior Design firms. This includes programs like Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
In addition to entering the Interior Design profession, graduates of the program have gone on to master’s level study in fields like themed entertainment design and urban design at institutions like Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia and the Institute of Advanced Architecture in Catalonia, Spain.
Dunwoody’s Interior Design program is a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. The College accepts transfer students into years two and three of the program.
