The Printmaking program at Millersville University explores the four major fine art printmaking processes and encourages students to tackle the issues of subject matter, content and intent that are central to composing and creating artistic works.
WHY STUDY THIS PROGRAM?
Millersville University's printmaking program incorporates the four major fine art printmaking processes of relief, intaglio, lithography and silkscreen. As you work in each of these areas, you will develop technical skills and an understanding of the physical nature of creating original prints.
This concentration, housed within the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Art major, tackles the issues of subject matter, content and intent that are central to composing and creating works. The printmaking studio, outfitted to instruct all four major fine art printmaking processes, allows you to discover original solutions to various visual problems.
